Delicious Sunday roast at lunchtime - the vegetarian nut roast was one of the best I’ve had. Love that the roast comes with cauliflower cheese as standard! Lovely cosy atmosphere with roaring fires and friendly staff. Great stop after a walk on the coast path.
We stayed two nights at this property. The place is easy to find. The roads are rather steep and narrow, owing to the location. Parking is limited, only 3 or 4 reserved spots, one of which we were lucky to get. There's another lot 400 m away, which we didn't use. Rooms are well fitted and clean. Food is excellent and not too pricey. The place is quite popular at dinner time, so it's a good idea to reserve a table beforehand. We were lucky to catch a folk music performance which takes place every Tuesday at the bar. Special mention to Jacqui and Denise who made us feel right at home. The cove is beautiful and peaceful and with clear water to swim, or just to sit and watch the waves. We also spotted two seals! The location is good to explore that side of Cornwall. I would definitely stay here again!
Challenging to access as the road is very steep for a wheelchair and parking is challenging, but I found a way!
After checking in with a local, and as all the boats were in, I parked by the boats and left a note with my number in the window next to my blue badge, with an assurance I was close by and could move it immediately.
This allowed me to access both the beach and the Inn and village in general.
It's a lovely spot, very wild at this time of year and well worth a visit. In the summer and autumn it was too busy for me to access despite trying multiple times, but today was perfect. After half an hour on the beach just enjoying being there and listening to the waves, I enjoyed a trip course Sunday roast and then a mulled wine.
Staff at the Inn were friendly and helpful. Wheelchair access is not recommended due to the slope outside and a step as high as a kerb, but if you can wobble on crutches it's fine
The food was freshly prepared, local and delicious, a roaring fire made the dining room very cosy and half way through lunch, after admiring all the nautical wall decorations, I became aware of the sea view outside the window!
Signs advertise rooms from £60, which for a night here might make a thoughtful Christmas present for family members who don't mind a long drive🤔 and seems very affordable.
Lots of local, independent businesses (not all open year around) and a strong community spirit make this a lovely place to visit and this Inn, a fabulous place to explore from. I haven't seen the rooms other than in photos, but can recommend both the village and refuelling in the Inn over lunch.
Live not far away but wanted the experience of the pub and able to have a beer. Stayed the night, had food in the pub and a few beers with friends. Very enjoyable, great atmosphere, lovely food and helpful and welcoming staff. Will be coming again for another stay.
I ate the best mussels I've ever eaten here last week (and I've eaten a lot of mussels!). A huge portion of huge mussels (all the way from Helford) in a fantastic sauce. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous and went out of their way to accommodate us and our dog. Great beer, too. We'll definitely be back.
Really disappointed with the Cadgwith Cove Inn. Planned to stop after a day of walking following seeing previous good reviews. However staff were totally disinterested in engaging with us and menu (once seemingly begrudgingly handed to us) was quite pricey (£18 for a burger as a base example, more for local fish which was what we were after) and not very inventive. Disappointed also to not see more local cornish food and drinks on offer. Needless to say we found somewhere else for dinner rather than sticking around.
Popped into this wonderful pub for a drink whilst in Cadgwith...lovely, friendly pub. Staff were lovely and chatty. Will definitely go back when next in Cornwall. Cadgwith is also the most amazing place too.
Incredible food using locally caught fish. Good service and atmosphere. Live music on Tuesdays and Fridays. Not cheap but worth it!
